Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a comprehensive development program, including fundraising, promotions, and development initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the growth and success of Pace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to achieve fundraising and revenue growth goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Manage relationships with donors, prospects, and stakeholders.
  • Write, edit, and produce all appeal materials, including grant proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials.
  • Plan, develop, and execute fundraising special events, campaigns, and programs.
  • Build awareness and promote Pace's mission and programs through social media, marketing, and public relations efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders to achieve development goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or related experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising and development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as a team player.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms.
  • Current Florida driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience with grant writing and research.
  • Knowledge of fundraising software and databases.
Work Environment

The work environment at Pace is fast-paced and requires alertness and flexibility. The noise level is usually quiet, but can accelerate to moderate and high levels.
