Job Summary

Compass Group, North America is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of our kitchen, food production, and food-service associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Operations: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and serving of food to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Supervise, train, and counsel hourly kitchen associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious menu options that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and use of food and supplies to ensure efficient inventory management.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Food Safety Certification: Current certification in food safety and sanitation, such as ServSafe.
  • Education: A degree in culinary arts or a related field, or equivalent experience.
