About the Role

To be considered a qualified candidate, you must have extensive knowledge of CPT surgical coding and ICD10 diagnostic coding. With at least two years of related medical coding experience, including one year of surgery coding preferably in an Orthopedic surgery setting, you will be well-equipped to excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review all clinical documentation to code and post-surgery charges and hospital charges for insurance billing.
  • Assist with CPT and ICD 10 coding.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with Team Lead and Supervisor.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is upheld by maintaining all patient information according to established policy.
  • Maintain compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete mandated training and in-services in a timely manner, including annual OSHA training and PPD placements.
  • Work Accounts Receivable (AR) for assigned providers.
  • Review assigned provider surgical schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of related coding or medical billing experience.
  • CPC certification preferred.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year based on location and experience.
