Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on various electromechanical systems, effectively diagnosing and resolving complex machinery issues.
  • Evaluate test outcomes, machine error notifications, and operator feedback to identify and rectify problems.
  • Collaborate as a vital member of the maintenance team, working closely with production and industrial maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and ongoing improvement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • A minimum of three years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial electronics, AC/DC principles, power transmission, testing instruments, VFDs, PLCs, ladder logic, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction.
  • Proficient in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a diverse range of industrial equipment using schematic diagrams and manuals.
  • Proven commitment to safe working practices, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space entry, and mobile equipment operation.
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the steel industry.
  • Familiarity with welding and light fabrication.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication networks (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet).
  • Experience with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control loops and combustion systems.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in a collaborative work environment.
  • Safety awareness training.
