Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at RennickBarrett Recruiting, INC. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing regular and preventative maintenance on installed electromechanical equipment and effectively troubleshooting complex problems associated with electromechanical machinery and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial equipment, including electrical systems, motors, and controls.
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical problems using technical manuals, schematics, and test equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and cross-functional teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with a strong background in AC/DC theory, power transmission, and test instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electronics, PLCs, ladder logic, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with hazardous materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Steel industry experience.
  • Welding and light fabrication experience.
  • Experience with industrial communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet).
  • Experience with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control loops and combustion controls.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical devices.
  • Strong communication skills and familiarity working in a team-based environment.
  • Safety awareness training.
