Good Shepherd Community Care, a highly regarded organization recognized for its commitment to hospice and palliative care, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to enhance our clinical team on a per diem basis.
Role Overview: This position involves traveling to provide care in patients' homes and residential facilities across the Greater Boston area and parts of Metrowest. The successful candidate will implement and oversee patient care, focusing on comfort and symptom management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor patient care in alignment with the Nursing Care Coordinator's plan.
- Utilize specialized nursing skills and agency resources to ensure high-quality end-of-life care.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care strategies, and ethical considerations related to end-of-life issues.
- Collaborate with various healthcare facilities and professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community health, hospice, oncology, or a related field is advantageous.
