Prosperity Bank is on the lookout for a skilled Commercial Banking Officer who excels in cultivating relationships to foster connections with lower-middle market businesses and non-profit organizations, typically with annual revenues between $5 million and $500 million.


POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Commercial Banker, your main responsibility will be to enhance and maintain lucrative client relationships.

This will be achieved by delivering value-added solutions tailored to our clients and prospects, assisting them in achieving their objectives while maximizing our revenue potential throughout the relationship's duration.

You will be a seasoned, qualified relationship manager capable of operating independently.

Demonstrated client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical proficiency, and strong transaction execution capabilities are essential.

Managing the credit process is a vital aspect of your role.

Success will be evaluated based on your effectiveness in various marketing areas, including but not limited to:

client outreach, proposal development, revenue generation, risk management, relationship building, and contributing to the long-term growth of the franchise.

You will also look for opportunities to cross-sell within each relationship and anticipate clients' future needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively seek out commercial clients; diligently pursue and secure quality new business through client and prospect outreach, referrals, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain Centers of Influence (COIs) and participate in various networking events within the designated geographic area.
  • Possess skills and experience in loan structuring and credit analysis.
  • Generate a diverse range of commercial and real estate loans.
  • Facilitate loan closings typically ranging from $1 million to $10 million.
  • Contribute to deposit growth by cross-selling and promoting additional banking products.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/

CERTIFICATION:
A Bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Formal credit training and/or underwriting knowledge and experience are preferred.

Typically, a minimum of seven years of direct lending or credit support experience with a focus on business relationships.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing procedures.

In-depth knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including a working understanding of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loans as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans.


SKILLS/

ABILITIES:
Ability to expand loan portfolios, enhance client relationships, and cross-sell banking products.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a proven track record in business development, are essential.

Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
