Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Travel and Service Delivery:
    - Conduct travel to customer, vendor, and supplier locations, encompassing both indoor and outdoor environments.
    - Provide field service at customer sites within the assigned territory, necessitating regular travel across the United States as required.
    - Ensure prompt and effective responses to service requests, managing workloads to adhere to service timelines.
  2. Technical Training:
    - Facilitate comprehensive on-site technical training for clients regarding the operation, repair, and upkeep of our products and solutions.
    - Instruct clients on best practices, safety protocols, and routine maintenance schedules to enhance equipment availability.
  3. Collaboration with Engineering Teams:
    - Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams, technicians, and third-party vendors to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
    - Engage in joint efforts to improve system performance and identify enhancement opportunities.
  4. Preventative Maintenance and Repairs:
    - Execute scheduled preventive maintenance services to guarantee consistent equipment functionality and minimize unplanned downtimes.
    - Assess and adjust equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and client production timelines.
  5. Departmental Representation and Project Oversight:
    - Act as a representative of the Technical Department in inter-departmental meetings, providing insights and updates on service operations, client requirements, and ongoing projects.
    - Monitor project advancement, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and customer expectations.
    - Independently carry out technical and engineering tasks, upholding high-quality standards and adherence to project objectives.
  6. Travel Requirements:
    - Undertake short-term travel assignments as necessary, with up to 40% domestic and international travel.
    - Travel to multiple locations to support project development, installation, and commissioning.
  7. Troubleshooting:
    - Identify and resolve system/equipment interface issues during installations utilizing applicable diagrams and tools.
  8. Documentation:
    - Ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete for work performed, and that all systems are updated to reflect the current status against the daily work plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably within the utilities, energy, or electrical engineering sectors.
  • Strong technical aptitude in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:
