About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Claims Representative II to join our team at Sentry. As a Claims Representative II, you will be responsible for delivering quality claim service to our customers while protecting the assets of Sentry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify coverage and investigate claims by contacting all parties involved
  • Document all decisions, correspondences, reports, and discussions
  • Determine liability and set reserves
  • Evaluate investigations to make decisions about claims
  • Determine if subrogation exists and take steps necessary for recovery
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of related work experience
  • Bodily Injury experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and coverage, claim payment procedures, and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
  • Able to make sound decisions while using good judgment in evaluating claims
  • Able to review and interpret complex and detailed documents such as contracts, medical reports, and insurance regulations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Personal computer and math skills beneficial
  • Ability to pass the required coursework applicable to job duties
