Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Private Duty Nurse. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide one-on-one care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes. You will work closely with our patients and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage patient care plans in accordance with physician orders and Aveanna Healthcare policies.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a home health or hospice setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical demands of the job.
