Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary
We are in search of a committed Customer Service Representative to become a vital part of our team.

In this role, you will be tasked with managing all communications and processes related to the intake of patient information concerning durable medical equipment and respiratory supplies. This includes interaction with patients, colleagues, and referral sources to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Update respiratory service grids as needed.
2. Review and finalize the previous day's documentation for accuracy.
3. Engage with patients and referral sources through verbal and written communication to address inquiries and concerns promptly.
4. Complete necessary documentation and maintain tracking logs.
5. Adhere to all company policies and procedures to meet industry standards.
6. Organize patient information and prepare documentation for billing processes.
7. Maintain an accurate referral log.
8. Monitor and manage office supplies.
9. Prepare weekly deposits for the location.
10. Generate invoices for upcoming service routes.
11. Process and confirm patient tickets and new patient setups.
12. Assist with retail equipment requests from walk-in customers.
13. Provide technical support to customers as needed.
14. Verify insurance coverage details for Medicare, Medicaid, and private plans.
15. Collaborate with external agencies to resolve customer issues.
16. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Employment Requirements
- Background investigation (company-wide)
- Drug screening (when applicable)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (when applicable)
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Preferred: Experience in medical equipment and billing practices.
- Preferred: One year of relevant work experience.
- Preferred: Familiarity with medical terminology.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Capable of interpreting various forms of communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in email communication and internet navigation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Competent in using office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and computers.
