Job Details

At BioSpace, Inc., we are committed to serving patients with serious illnesses. As a Patient Access Liaison, you will play a critical role in providing logistical and educational assistance to patients and caregivers, as well as office and site of care staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide non-medical educational assistance to patients and caregivers, including interpreting their specific needs and providing friendly, professional, and well-informed answers to their questions.

Work with patients to educate them on next steps required to gain access to therapy, including prior authorization and insurance coverage.

Develop relationships with patients and caregivers, engaging with them via phone, text, email, virtual, or in-person connections.

Assess individual patient needs and develop an appropriate education and resource plan of action, considering the patient's family and team of healthcare providers.

Educate patients on KRYSTEXXA coverage based on their benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization, ensuring understanding of the process for medication access.

Provide information on co-pay assistance programs, national foundations, and free drug programs, sharing information with patients as appropriate and needed.

Requirements:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Account Management or direct patient care experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong knowledge and proven work history of access and reimbursement for buy and bill/infused pharmaceutical products.

Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and FDA requirements, as well as internal and OIG Compliance guidelines.

Ability to handle difficult patient cases and resolve hurdles, working in a team environment and managing communication with case Liaisons and sales reps.

Strong analytical skills and ability to report on meaningful activity in the region, proficient in Microsoft Office, and professional, proactive demeanor.
