Position Overview

Vaco Dallas is in search of a dedicated Tableau Data Analyst with 4-7 years of relevant experience for a direct hire role. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the finance division by delivering essential data for comprehensive financial reporting across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining solutions that convert data into valuable insights, facilitating informed business decisions. Ideal applicants will possess a strong background in data analytics, particularly with Tableau, and have experience in developing ETL processes, data models, dashboards, and reports while maintaining data integrity and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage ETL scripts and processes to extract data from various sources, including ERP systems.
  • Analyze financial data and collaborate with finance teams to clarify reporting needs.
  • Create and oversee data models.
  • Provide administrative support for Tableau, including managing licenses, groups, projects, dashboards, and reports.
  • Ensure data security and governance within data management tools.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
  • Monitor data issues and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Document data processes and solutions thoroughly.
  • Establish data quality standards to ensure consistency.
  • Design interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
  • Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to various departments.
  • Conduct routine database backups and recovery operations.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and other departments to align data strategies.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications and user manuals.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Tableau and familiarity with other data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, R, and Python.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience extracting data from multiple ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with R or Python programming.
  • Experience in large organizations with multi-location operations.
  • Background in Finance and Accounting, such as a Financial Analyst role.
