Role Overview
Vaco Dallas is in search of a dedicated Tableau Data Analyst with 4-7 years of relevant experience for a direct hire role. This position will primarily support the finance division by delivering critical data for comprehensive financial reporting across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining solutions that convert data into valuable insights, thereby facilitating informed business decisions. The ideal applicant will possess expertise in data analytics utilizing Tableau, alongside experience in creating ETL processes, data models, dashboards, and reports while ensuring the integrity and security of data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage ETL scripts and processes to extract data from various sources, including ERP systems.
- Examine financial data and work closely with finance teams to clarify reporting needs.
- Develop and oversee data models.
- Administer Tableau, managing licensing, groups, projects, dashboards, and reports.
- Uphold data security and governance standards within data management tools.
- Guarantee data integrity, accuracy, and security across all data systems.
- Identify and resolve data issues while implementing corrective measures.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes and solutions.
- Establish data quality protocols to ensure consistency.
- Craft interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
- Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to various departments.
- Conduct routine database backups, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure adherence to data protection and privacy regulations.
- Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and other stakeholders to align data strategies.
- Produce and maintain documentation, including design specifications and user manuals.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields.
- Proficient in Tableau (4-7 years) and familiar with other data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, R, and Python.
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced SQL scripting skills.
- Experience in extracting data from multiple ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and standard operating procedures.
- Capacity to meet deadlines and adapt to evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with R or Python.
- Experience in large-scale organizations with multi-location operations.
- Previous roles in Finance and Accounting, such as Financial Analyst.
