Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Enterprise Supply Chain Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing supplier performance management processes, conducting supplier audits, and managing non-compliance/non-conformance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Supplier Performance Management Process: Lead the development and maintenance of a supplier performance management process, including supplier segmentation, performance monitoring, and supplier development programs inclusive of corrective actions.
  • Supplier Performance Standards and Processes: Develop, implement, and monitor supplier performance/quality standards and processes to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Supplier Audits and Performance Analysis: Conduct regular supplier audits to assess their quality management systems, identify areas for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented. Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and performance.
  • Quality Requirements Integration: Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into supplier selection and evaluation processes.
  • Quality Issue Resolution: Lead the resolution of quality issues related to sourced materials and components, including root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Technical and Quality Requirements Communication: Facilitate the communication of technical and quality requirements to suppliers and ensure that documentation, such as specifications and inspection criteria, is clear and comprehensive.
  • Quality Improvements Across the Supply Chain: Participate in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements across the supply chain, contributing to overall operational excellence.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in quality management and supply chain optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supplier Performance Management within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Skills: Proven track record of conducting supplier audits and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Experience in working with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed root cause analysis and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
