The Procurement Specialist is a critical member of the procurement team at Wellpath, responsible for managing strategic sourcing and tactical purchasing activities to support various functional groups, including Operations, Clinical Administration, and IT.
Key Responsibilities- Lead contract negotiations and renewals through the RFI/RFP process to maximize enterprise-wide purchasing power, and drive contract and vendor compliance to national agreements.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and continually seek opportunities for cost savings and value maximization, while monitoring savings and tracking budget impact.
- Manage formulary/catalog, ensuring timely updates and effective management of inventory.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams in developing sourcing strategies, and develop project plans and timelines for new programs or projects.
- Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws to ensure ethical and professional behavior by the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, or finance.
- Large corporate experience is preferred.
- Must be able to manage and complete multiple projects and RFP's driving excellent results.
