Position Overview:
The MRO Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the acquisition of essential goods and services, which includes equipment, tools, parts, and supplies, while executing related responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engages with vendors to gather product or service details such as pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
- Creates purchase orders or requests for proposals.
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure alignment with maintenance schedules and financial objectives.
- Keeps accurate procurement records detailing items or services acquired, costs incurred, and delivery information.
- Authorizes invoices for payment processing.
- Facilitates the prompt delivery of goods to end-users.
- Demonstrates the ability to scan and interpret received documents into digital systems.
- Tracks orders and communicates anticipated delivery dates.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma coupled with a minimum of five years of experience in a Maintenance or MRO role, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Essential Abilities:
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and suppliers.
- Possesses intermediate proficiency in Excel.
- Displays meticulous attention to detail.
- Communicates effectively across all departments.
- Reads and interprets purchase requisitions accurately.
