Role Overview:
The Vice President, Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence position is an intermediate-level role focused on spearheading efforts to detect, monitor, and mitigate emerging cyber threats that could lead to data breaches and cyber-attacks. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the implementation of Information Security directives in accordance with Citi's data security policies.
As a Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will monitor, identify, and assess new and evolving threats to Citi's information systems, networks, and data. Staying abreast of emerging technologies, vulnerabilities, threat actors, and attack vectors will enable you to anticipate and mitigate potential risks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will develop proactive strategies and countermeasures to defend against these emerging cyber threats, ensuring robust controls and mitigations are in place. You will create actionable dashboards to highlight these threats and author expert reports, providing recommendations for enhancing defensive capabilities. This role requires the ability to analyze large datasets to identify potential threats and trends. Strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, big data experience, creativity, and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this dynamic and critical position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop corrective action plans for Information Security (IS) gaps and ensure compliance with Citi requirements or industry best practices.
- Facilitate the deployment of approved IS tools and recommend new or improved security solutions or emerging technologies.
- Analyze root causes of issues, assess impacts on business, and devise necessary corrective actions to develop security solutions.
- Ensure IS compliance and seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency of IS policies and procedures.
- Identify significant IS threats and vulnerabilities, defining appropriate controls for discovered threats and documenting business responses.
- Analyze large datasets.
- Communicate changes to IS regulations and standards to Business and Program owners.
- Provide Information Security advice and counsel as required.
- Assess risk in business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred additional technical certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to research and apply current information in the IS field.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven influencing and relationship management abilities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience in data analytics.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
