Position Summary

The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for delivering Girls Inc. programming across various sites, including center-based, school-based, and weekend initiatives. This role requires serving as a mentor and role model, promoting the well-being, development, confidence, and success of the girls. The Coordinator will inspire and motivate girls to actively engage in program activities, ensuring their long-term involvement with Girls Inc. and providing feedback to maintain program relevance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working with diverse grade levels and travel to various Girls Inc. locations as needed.
  • Design and implement research-based, age-appropriate programs and curricula, utilizing Girls Inc. resources as foundational materials.
  • Deliver high-quality programming and experiences to girls in educational settings.
  • Collaborate with partner schools to gather student records, including attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
  • Create and execute mission-driven activities and events.
  • Maintain professionalism and quality in all aspects of program delivery.
  • Ensure positive outcomes and comprehension of program concepts among participants.
  • Establish program goals and objectives aligned with signature Girls Inc. initiatives, subject to approval prior to implementation and evaluation at the end of each session.
  • Conduct evaluations and analyses of program goals and outcomes, reporting findings each semester.
  • Work with other youth-serving organizations to develop and implement quality programming as necessary.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including conferences and workshops, to enhance skills and knowledge in youth development.
  • Stay informed on issues affecting girls and children.
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Girls Inc.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff and supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings and peer workgroups to share insights and address concerns, working together to achieve agency and program goals.
  • Follow safety regulations and guidelines while operating at centers, schools, or outreach sites.
  • Respond promptly to information requests and meet all established deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
  • Associate's degree.
  • Must be 21 years or older with a clean driving record.
  • Able to operate a 15-passenger van.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a youth organization or related field.
  • Experience working with girls aged 6-18.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with children and engage them in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and volunteers, facilitating collaboration among diverse individuals.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Teaching experience or skills.
  • Highly organized, technologically adept, and creative.
