Responsibilities:

* Provide oversight and support to subordinate staff, ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programs that promote youth rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
* Maintain a safe and secure environment, intervening when necessary to prevent conflicts and ensure the well-being of youth and staff.
* Supervise and direct administrative and human resource activities, including staff training and development.
* Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and regulations governing the care and custody of youth.

Requirements:

* High school diploma/GED and two years of supervisory law enforcement experience or one year of experience as a Juvenile Correctional Lieutenant (PSP223) or equivalent.
* Possess and maintain State of Georgia P.O.S.T. Certification within the first six months of employment.
* Valid Driver License.

Military Salary Increase Incentive Amount:

* 2.5% for one year of active-duty service
* 5% for two years of active-duty service
* 7.5% for three years of active-duty service
* 10% for 4+ years of active-duty service
