Job Title: Deputy Director of Utilities

Per Se Group is seeking an experienced Deputy Director of Utilities to join our team based in Alaska. Our client specializes in delivering essential utility services, with a primary focus on supplying electricity, water, and wastewater services to military installations and government facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and perform periodic site inspections to ensure quality control compliance and safety standards.
  • Review worksite logs, production reports, and specification sheets to verify adherence to quality control standards.
  • Gather, enter, and review information for reports to outside agencies and enter/review Operations and Maintenance Weekly and Monthly reports.
  • Initiate procurement of supplies and materials for individual jobs and maintenance activities and ensure availability of essential equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Process Technology, or Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of utility or construction industry experience or operation and maintenance of industrial facilities.
  • Experience with CMMS software (Maximo, preferred) and SCADA systems and controls.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and understanding of interactions of power generation, substations, and distribution systems.
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in developing construction projects including job development and cost estimating.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience using computerized electrical system modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
