Clinical Thoracic Oncologist

The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center seeks a highly skilled Head and Neck Oncologist/Thoracic Oncologist to join our faculty. This is an opportunity for a clinician with a cancer research focus to pursue an Associate Professor or Assistant Professor position on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track or Clinician Teacher (CT) track.
The successful candidate will be part of a world-class institution that encourages interdisciplinary research and attracts scholars and students from around the world. Madison, the state's capitol city, offers a unique combination of natural beauty, cultural events, and outdoor recreation.
Responsibilities:- Provide inpatient and outpatient clinic attending services at UW Hospitals and Clinics locations in Madison and at additional sites within the region.
- Provide clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as clinical research endeavors.
The candidate will have access to substantial programmatic research funds and will be expected to pursue and secure independent funding to continue/develop their research.
Requirements:- Completed accredited oncology fellowship training.
- Experience in clinical, basic science or translational research, with a track record of successful publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and evidence of excellence in teaching.
