We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Professor/Professor to serve as the Chief of Acute Care Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Acute Care Surgery division and participating in the care of trauma, emergency general surgical, and critically ill surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Acute Care Surgery division and provide clinical leadership
- Participate in the care of trauma, emergency general surgical, and critically ill surgical patients
- Help train the next generation of general surgery residents
- Pursue research interests and contribute to the academic mission of the department
- Board certification in General Surgery with additional certification in Surgical Critical Care
- Eligibility for licensure in the State of Vermont and eligibility to work in the United States
- Experience in clinical leadership and a career interest in administrative, teaching, clinical, and research activities
- A full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Health Network
