Division Chief of Geriatrics and Director of the Center on Aging

Job Summary:

The University of Vermont Medical Center seeks an experienced leader to serve as the Division Chief of Geriatrics and Director of the Center on Aging. This individual will lead a division committed to excellence in clinical care, research, and education, while also serving as the Director of the Center on Aging.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Geriatrics Division in providing high-quality care and services to elderly patients
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve care transitions and integrated care models
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Represent the Geriatrics Division in institutional committees, meetings, and conferences
  • Oversee the provision of educational and training opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a physician board certified or eligible in Geriatrics with proven leadership experience and a commitment to clinical care, research, and education. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in geriatric medicine, as well as strong leadership, research, and managerial skills.
