About the Role:

The Safety Specialist II is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and subcontractors on electric construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, regulations, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct accident and injury investigations, including root cause analyses
  • Provide support to operations organization for incident case management and documentation
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, in collaboration with operations leadership
  • Conduct proactive behavior-based and quality-focused field safety observations and PPE hazard assessments
  • Coach and mentor project site personnel regarding safety practices and behaviors
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection and occupational health and safety
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) safety certification, such as CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, or CSP
  • Undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical field
