Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections and repairs on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement efficient maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize fleet reliability.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
Requirements
  • 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL highly preferred).
  • ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The Diesel Fleet Technician II will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to mechanical parts, tools, and equipment. The position requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
