The Production Operator plays a crucial role in the collaborative production process. This position involves operating automated production and packaging machinery, diagnosing equipment issues, making minor adjustments, and collaborating with the appropriate personnel for further assistance. Additionally, the operator is responsible for maintaining the hygiene and preventative maintenance of all relevant equipment. Mastery of the entire production and packaging workflow is essential, requiring flexibility and adaptability to rotate through various job assignments. Operators must monitor both equipment and food quality, making timely and accurate decisions that influence order fulfillment and product standards. A key responsibility is to foster a safe working environment for oneself, colleagues, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and fine-tune machinery and equipment to meet precise food specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, machinery, and equipment, adhering to safety regulations consistently.
  • Set up, initiate, and halt equipment for production starts, changeovers, and specific line requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Follow the production schedule, running orders, and recipes accurately.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned or required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding all relevant manufacturing information.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating all equipment and efficiently manage machinery during employee breaks.
  • Provide coverage for absent team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment and products.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and product issues.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
