Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for each day's projects by completing checklists and ensuring all necessary materials are loaded in the van/trucks.
  • Properly care and handle stone, materials/supplies, and equipment.
  • Site preparation, installation, finishing, and cleaning of stone countertops, backsplashes, sinks, and faucets.
  • Communicate with clients and office staff while onsite.
  • Upload progress and final pictures, make notes of work performed, and alert the operations manager or project manager of any issues or potential issues with the installation or client.
  • Work with your team in a professional and results-oriented manner.
  • Follow/execute work orders with minimal supervision, taking appropriate action to ask questions if things are unclear.
  • Clean up after every visit, leaving no trash, screws/nails or hardware, equipment or materials behind.
  • Properly track job time, from leaving the office to arriving at the client and back to the office.
  • Ensure the safety of yourself, your team, the homeowners, our suppliers, and partners.
  • Safely operate vehicles and equipment/tools.
  • Clean and organize vehicles each evening or early morning to ensure they are ready for the next day.
  • Help the team with other projects as necessary, including cleaning, organizing, painting, maintaining the shop/office/vehicles, helping with inventory management, and cross-training on other shop duties.
Requirements:
  • Coachable and willing to learn, grow, and contribute.
  • Accountable, with key performance indicators (KPIs) for installers, and expected to meet these standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of handling, cleaning, installing, and touchups of stone products.
  • 1+ years of successful experience in general construction (residential or commercial), with direct countertop installation experience a plus.
  • Experience using grinders and polishers.
  • Effective, professional, and thoughtful communication with clients, team, suppliers, and staff.
  • Technical/Mechanical ability to take accurate measurements using various tools and read basic plans.
  • Problem-solving ability to ensure happy long-term clients and cost-effective solutions for the company.
  • Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment screening, including drug screening, motor vehicle, and criminal background checks.
  • Ability to carry/lift to 100lbs, utilizing the lift and other tools as appropriate.
  • Valid/insurable driver's license.
  • US Citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
  • Presentable wardrobe, with shirts provided, and clean, hole-free, and tear-free shorts and pants.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Familiarity with templating procedures using LT software and EasedEdge software a huge plus.
  • Must provide 3+ work-related references that can be verified.
  • Steady work history a plus.

Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with start and end times varying depending on the project and location. Overtime and Saturday work possible.
