Job Overview

The Installation Specialist is responsible for the transportation of products to clients, performing initial installations, and equipment relocations. They may also remove antiquated machines for recycling or disposal and assist in the home office warehouse when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and preparing equipment for movement.
  • Unboxing and removing equipment from pallets as required.
  • Setting, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment.
  • Selecting the appropriate installation equipment.
  • Preparing installation equipment, including pulleys, clamps, wood beams, and bolts.
  • Inspecting equipment before final use.
  • Maneuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand.
  • Removing old machines for recycling and/or disposal.
  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No direct reports.
  • No indirect reports.

Education and Training:

  • High school education required.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum one-year experience in a driver role (Furniture/Electronics delivery is acceptable).
  • Thorough knowledge of basic electronics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Effective customer and co-worker communication, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
  • Possess the ability to manage and research assignments independently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
