Job Description:

Quality Assurance Manager

Gpac is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality assurance program and ensure the continuous production of products that meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Needs of the Customer: Ensure customer-specific requirements and quality standards are met through effective communication and collaboration with internal functions.
  • Advocate for Quality: Promote the selection of appropriate special characteristics to be implemented on the plant floor, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
  • Manage Inspection Instructions: Update and maintain inspection instructions and control plans for all new products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Capability Studies: Continuously review capability studies to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement, identifying areas for process enhancements.
  • Set Quality Objectives: Establish and monitor quality objectives as documented in the Plant Quality Plans, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop Improvement Plans: Create and implement improvement plans to enhance customer satisfaction, addressing areas for improvement identified through quality metrics.
  • Prevent Nonconformities: Proactively identify and address potential nonconformities related to product, process, and quality system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze Product Defects: Investigate product defects and recommend modifications for correction, maintaining a continuous improvement effort.
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary customer liaison for any quality-related concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Control Nonconforming Products: Manage the processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until issues are resolved, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead Quality Personnel: Manage all aspects of plant quality personnel, including assessing current capabilities and ongoing development, ensuring a skilled and effective quality team.
  • Oversee Quality System: Oversee receiving inspection, final audit, test lab, internal audit program, gage and calibration process, and material traceability activities to ensure the effectiveness of the Quality System.

Requirements:

  • Strong Mathematical Skills: Possess strong mathematical skills, including probability, capability, and statistical analysis, to effectively analyze quality data and drive improvement.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Maintain proper certifications and qualifications, and monitor and communicate quality-related operational metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Evaluate and guide direct reports to perform defined activities and prepare for future demands related to strategic and operational plans, ensuring effective leadership and coaching.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience as a Tier 1 Quality Manager/Engineer to the Automotive OEMs is desirable but can be substituted with other relevant education and experience.
