About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Multicultural Youth Program Coordinator to join our team at Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services.

As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for supporting the needs of students in the early stages of learning English, assisting with site staff supervision, recruiting students, facilitating youth program activities, maintaining site operations, and performing program-related assignments as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers/tutors in meeting the needs of students in the early stages of learning English.
  • Assist with management of day-to-day operations of the program sites, including organization, maintenance, cleaning, safety, and security.
  • Assist with maintenance of student files, progress reports, attendance, and other necessary participant documents.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with youth and parents, as well as staff regarding student's needs and progress.
  • Coordinate and recruit tutors and tutor volunteers.
  • Plan curriculum activities and supervise implementation.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with youth, and experience working with diverse populations.
  • College degree preferred. Minimum of High School diploma or GED, with experience working with youth, and willingness to continue professional development.
  • Oral communication skills, Professionalism, Interpersonal, Written communication skills, Flexible, Team Player, Computer skills.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits.

While not required, fluency in Somali or Maay Maay is preferred.
