Job SummaryThe Direct Support Professional will provide support and assistance to individuals in Level 1 residential programs, helping them with daily living skills, supervision, and skills training in a home environment and in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support and assistance to individuals with daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Create opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and foster independence.
- Provide services to individuals according to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Transport and accompany individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
- Maintain required documentation and records.
- Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
- Administer medications according to regulations.
- Maintain core training certifications and additional mandated certifications.
- Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.
- High school diploma or GED - Associate's Degree or DSP Certification preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.
