Residential Behavior Specialist

At Little City Foundation, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with youth, families, and staff to provide intensive behavioral support and maximize skill acquisition in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Job Summary:
The Residential Behavior Specialist will work under the clinical supervision of a Behavior Therapist Coordinator and/or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and administrative supervision of a Home Manager. Your primary duty will be to assist youth with maximizing skill acquisition in ADLs through individualized intensive implementation strategies aligned with the youth's Person-Centered Plan goals and personal outcome measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior analytic teaching procedures in the residence and community, including discrete trials, task analyses, incidental teaching, and direct instruction.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure that skills generalize to other people, different environments, and to relevant activities.
- Provide youth skill acquisition through the implementation of behavior analytic procedures to teach appropriate functional alternatives to challenging behavior.
- Train Life Skills Instructors in the ChildBridge Center for Group Home Living for youths transitioning to less restrictive environments.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and/or monitoring of educational curricula, including completing core skills and other educational assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in human services, education, or disability-related field (preferred).
- Successful completion of Direct Support Professional within 120 days of hire and Registered Behavior Tech (RBT) training and certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) (preferred).
- Ability to transport children and possess a current IL valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
