Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need
  • Check and maintain all ambulance equipment and vehicles to ensure they are clean and in proper working condition
  • Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the AmeriPro EMS communications center
  • Provide care and treatment to patients according to company policy and medical director protocols
  • Ensure ambulance and equipment are cleaned and checked daily
  • Prepare and complete appropriate reports, including patient care reports, billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and daily, weekly, and monthly unit check-offs
  • Ensure unit and crew members adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards
  • Report any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations
Requirements
  • State-specific Emergency Medical Technician certification/licensure in good standing
  • Current NREMT certification (if applicable by state law)
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services
  • Knowledge of company medical director-approved protocols and standing orders
  • Ability to read and interpret local maps
  • Ability to read and understand medical terminology
