Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician

At AmeriPro Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care to patients in need.

Job Summary:

As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations. You will ensure compliance with all state EMS rules and regulations, maintain all ambulance equipment and vehicles, and complete reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide patient care according to company policy and medical director protocols.
  • Ensure ambulance and equipment are cleaned and checked daily, and report any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Complete reports, including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and daily, weekly, and monthly unit check-offs.
  • Ensure unit and crew members adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards.
  • Perform other duties as required, including lifting and moving patients.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • State-specific Emergency Medical Technician certification/licensure in good standing/current NREMT certification if applicable by state law.
  • Current CPR: BLS certification.
  • Valid state-specific driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
  • FEMA IS certs: (IS:100; IS:200; IS:800; IS:900).
Working Environment:

As an EMT, you will work in a fast-paced emergency medical services environment, responding to emergency calls and providing patient care. You will be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses. You will be required to attend meetings, some of which may take place outside of regular working hours.
