Position Overview

The Aerospace Quality Assurance Engineer plays a crucial role in upholding customer and industry quality standards. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the dissemination of customer and industry quality requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and training to fellow Quality Engineers and Quality Administrators.
  • Engage professionally with customers and suppliers, representing Senior AMT Aerospace.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100 and AS9102.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, demonstrating a solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to quality requirements and compile formal audit reports.
  • Apply quality clauses in the MRP system and manage the Approved Supplier List.
  • Review and approve manufacturing plans and Change Incorporation Requests (CIRs) for compliance.
  • Prepare First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 standards.
  • Analyze rejection data and provide insights to management.
  • Issue Corrective Action Requests as necessary and verify their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various departments to foster continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company.
