POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Access Management Specialist, you will be integral to maintaining the security and integrity of our organization's information systems. This role encompasses the administration of user access, the establishment and enforcement of access policies, and the oversight of compliance with security standards. The Access Management Specialist will work closely with various teams to implement and sustain effective identity and access management solutions that protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Access Management:
    • Handle user access requests, approvals, and provisioning processes efficiently.
    • Ensure accurate and timely assignment of access rights aligned with job functions.
    • Implement de-provisioning protocols immediately following employee departures or role changes.
  • User Identity Management:
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's user identity lifecycle.
    • Enhance processes for identity creation, modification, and deletion.
    • Conduct regular access reviews to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Governance and Compliance:
    • Collaborate with internal audit teams to identify and mitigate identity and access management risks.
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
    • Generate and analyze access reports to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Management and Support:
    • Investigate and resolve access-related incidents, anomalies, or security breaches.
    • Provide assistance for access-related issues, collaborating with IT support and helpdesk teams.
    • Implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of identified security challenges.
  • Technology Evaluation and Improvement:
    • Assess, implement, and manage IAM tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Work with IT teams to integrate IAM solutions into existing systems.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in IAM for ongoing improvement.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in Identity Access Management or a related security position.
  • Understanding of IAM concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of directory services, authentication, and authorization protocols.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Experience with IAM solutions like SailPoint, Okta, or Microsoft Identity Manager.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in a highly regulated sector, such as finance or healthcare.
