We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Susquehanna Health and Wellness Center. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to our nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Nurse Supervisors, to ensure that they are performing their duties in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
- Care Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for our residents, in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team, to ensure that their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
- Medication Management: Oversee the administration of medications to our residents, ensuring that they are given in accordance with their orders and that any errors are reported and addressed promptly.
- Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in our nursing department and implement changes to enhance the quality of care we provide.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration among our nursing staff, as well as with other departments and services, to ensure that our residents receive seamless and coordinated care.
- Education and Experience: Must possess a valid unencumbered RN state license and a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of two years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility is required.
- Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Must have effective leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire our nursing staff to provide high-quality care.
- Knowledge and Skills: Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
