Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager

At Susquehanna Health and Wellness Center, we are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience in long-term care to join our developed nursing team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager will oversee the care, systems, and processes that deliver resident care. This is a full-time day shift position, 7am-3pm, with a competitive pay rate and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing care provided by nursing assistants, licensed vocational/practical nurses, and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, recommend hires, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Promote and protect resident rights; assist residents to make informed decisions; treat residents with dignity and respect.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.
  • Two (2) years of experience preferred as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
  • Must have, as a minimum of six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
