Job Summary

We are seeking a Project / Field Engineer to provide technical/engineering support to ensure heavy civil construction work complies with the design, technical requirements, codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret Contract, Drawings, Specifications, Standards, and related technical documents in coordination with project-wide activities.
  • Supports work activity schedules/updates and communicates across discipline groups to ensure proper advance notifications and work coordination.
  • Support construction work plan packages, pre-construction coordination, including preparation of RFI's, construction submittals and as-built records.
  • Assists in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, etc.
  • Coordinates with subcontractors on advance material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables.
  • Field verify to ensure construction is completed in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and productive environment through enforcing procedures.
  • Maintains project integrity and reputation through compliance with high standards of workplace safety, quality and construction best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant experience is required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience and knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management.
  • Must understand fundamentals of contracting and have familiarity with large scale mass transit projects.
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
  • Commitment to safety and quality, with adherence to safe work practices
  • Team player and good interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work evening and overnight shifts.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, surveying, scheduling, cost tracking preferred.
