Position Overview:
The Bakery Manager is responsible for leading and empowering bakery staff while ensuring exceptional guest engagement and service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a welcoming environment for all customers.

- Drive sales and growth by actively engaging with the community and representing the company positively.
- Encourage teamwork and shared success, reinforcing the notion that all associates are owners of Yoke's.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts, demonstrating effective communication and physical capability to perform tasks safely.
- Enhance sales through engaging conversations with customers, offering product suggestions, and sharing current promotions.
- Conduct inventory and financial monitoring to ensure departmental profitability and adherence to budgetary goals.
- Utilize effective merchandising techniques to promote both existing and new products.
- Implement Food Safety practices within the Bakery Department, ensuring all associates are trained and compliant.
- Oversee the preparation, packaging, and presentation of bakery items, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Provide comprehensive training for new staff on guest service and safe equipment operation.
- Identify and nurture associates showing potential for increased responsibilities.
- Empower associates to enhance guest experiences.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
- Participate in accident reduction initiatives and maintain a safe working environment.
Supervisory Duties:
This role includes supervisory responsibilities such as:
- Managing secondary supervisors and their teams.
- Evaluating and coordinating the activities of bakery associates.
- Conducting performance appraisals and addressing associate concerns.
- Exhibiting strong leadership and communication skills.
- Enforcing company policies effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED; or a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret business documents and communicate effectively.
- Mathematical skills for managing bakery operations.
- Valid State Food Handlers Permit and Driver's License or State I.D. Card.
Physical Demands:
Position requires standing for extended periods, lifting and moving items of varying weights, and performing tasks in a dynamic environment.
Work Environment:
Exposure to various working conditions including mechanical parts, chemicals, and temperature variations.
