Job Summary

The Admissions Counselor plays a critical role in the intake process, working closely with medical professionals to screen candidates for admission, verify insurance, and conduct intake assessments. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the intake and admission process for incoming patients
  • Perform insurance benefit verifications and communicate results to patients and families
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient status and provide recommendations for admission
  • Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure accurate admissions
  • Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the treatment process
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a social services field (e.g. psychology, counseling, social work)
  • One or more years of experience in mental/behavioral health, preferably in a clinical or observational capacity
  • Current licensure or certification in a relevant field (e.g. RN, CAC, etc.)
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate: $29.00/hour - $45.00/hour (DOE)
  • Additional hourly stipends for PM/NOC shift hours
