Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our Infectious Diseases department, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who share our core values of quality, compassion, and community.

Our hospital, Saint Michael's Medical Center, is a 358-bed regional tertiary-care, teaching, and research center in the heart of Newark's business and educational district. We offer a comprehensive array of innovative treatments and procedures, including cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery.

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
* Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
* Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition
* Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment

Qualifications:

* Current and valid state RN License
* Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
* Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
* Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
* Ventilator Management experience preferred
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
