Job Details: Class A CDL Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the activities of drivers at a distribution facility and/or terminal locations, ensuring their safe, precise, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Transportation Manager in directing personnel and daily logistics operations at the distribution facility and/or terminal locations, which includes:

  • Creating and managing the driver schedule
  • Monitoring driver hours to comply with DOT regulations
  • Addressing customer complaints
  • Verifying driver hours for payroll processing
  • Conducting ongoing training and periodic meetings for drivers
  • Facilitating communication, reporting, and information processing
  • Executing special and/or urgent deliveries as required
  • Performing routine inspections on equipment to verify repair requests and ensure cleanliness
  • Spot-checking driver documentation procedures for accuracy; providing retraining if necessary
  • Conducting random ride-alongs with drivers to ensure high-quality customer service and adherence to productivity standards
  • Listening to driver concerns and proactively seeking solutions
  • Actively promoting safety and cleanliness at the distribution facility and/or terminal locations, including:
    • Implementing strategies to minimize injuries and accidents
    • Monitoring and enforcing all safety regulations
    • Adhering to all safety and emergency protocols
    • Completing injury and illness reports accurately and promptly
    • Assisting with accident investigations
    • Ensuring the terminal remains clean and organized
  • Traveling to other terminals for supervisory duties as necessary.
  • Providing backup support for route delivery drivers and/or shuttle drivers when required.
  • Participating as a rotating on-call supervisor as needed.
