Job Title: Data Engineer - Cloud Data Pipelines

At Square Peg Technologies, we're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and help us design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for our customers. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing automated pipelines for various data types and datasets using Databricks, a leading cloud-based data management platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using Databricks and other cloud-based data management platforms
  • Develop automated pipelines for various data types and datasets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering

Requirements:

  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, SQL, Java)
  • Experience with cloud-based data management platforms, such as Databricks, Splunk, Cloudera, and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of API development techniques and data modeling
  • Demonstrated experience in data engineering, data processing, and modeling techniques using cloud-based data management platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with using Apache Spark and Hadoop to conduct large-scale data processing
  • Extensive experience in Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes
  • Demonstrated extensive experience with cloud services (AWS strongly preferred)
