Building Maintenance Technician

Resicap Payroll, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Field Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Field Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that renovations conform to local, state and federal building code requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Quality Control Inspections of residential homes under renovation and re-construction.
- Ensure that renovations meet local, state and federal building code requirements.
- Re-inspect homes that fail initial inspections.
- Apply practical knowledge of construction techniques and specifications to Quality Control Inspections.
- Document specific information pertaining to each residence under construction and load into various web-based portals.
- Perform minor maintenance services across multiple trades.
- Complete general assessments at homes and alert the property management team when immediate action is required.
- Complete minor repairs in vacant and occupied homes.
- Properly use and care for company-supplied tools and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the building and construction field.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of construction methods and local, state and federal building codes.
- Experience in Public Housing, Real Estate, Building Inspections, Code Enforcement or equivalent education and experience.
- Lead-based paint certification (preferred).
- Mold certification (preferred).
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and quality, and strong estimating skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a process improvement-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a professional manner.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Results-oriented individual with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to perform work that requires climbing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 lbs or more and properly operate company-supplied tools.
