About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Collision Repair Body Technician to join our team at OTR Garage, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing accident-related damage to vehicles, restoring them to their pre-collision condition in accordance with industry standards and factory specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine damaged vehicles to plan the repair process efficiently
• Work with others to communicate vehicle repair status
• Perform high-quality repairs while meeting deadlines
• Make decisions on repair vs. replace, considering safety, cost, and cycle time
• Remove and replace vehicle components, such as upholstery, accessories, and trim
• Participate in safety meetings and follow safety protocols
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
• Supervise and train apprentice technicians as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to use frame machines and measuring systems
• Ability to read and interpret OEM repair procedures and service information
• I-CAR welding certification preferred
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to supervise repair personnel
• Pass a thorough background check
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and lift 50 pounds
