Ames Collision Center is seeking a skilled and experienced auto body technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in the collision repair industry, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to assess damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process. They will also be able to make decisions on repair vs. replace, considering safety, cost, and cycle time. Additional responsibilities include removing and installing upholstery, accessories, electrical, and window equipment to gain access for repairs. The candidate will also be responsible for communicating with management on any supplemental damages or setbacks that could affect the quality or cause delay in the repair process. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and follow repair procedures, have knowledge and experience with European vehicles, and be skilled in analyzing damage. I-CAR certifications and welding certification are a plus. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, paid vacation and birthdays, paid holidays, PTO, sign-on bonus, and elective bonuses.
