Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our team at Allen Health & Rehab. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing nursing care to residents and develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents, including activities of daily living.
  • Keep resident rooms and care areas clean and neat, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Participate in the orientation of new residents to the facility, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Document care as instructed and required, maintaining accurate records.
  • Report any changes in a resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from dining, therapy, activity, and social programs, encouraging participation.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed, promoting resident well-being.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents, utilizing facility technique.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Trainees must obtain certification within 4 months of hire.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to move consistently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently.
  • Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics to ensure adequate senses.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds using proper body mechanics and assistance.
  • Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
