Insight Global is seeking a skilled broadcast support specialist to join our Operations and Technical Services team.

This role requires the individual to be present on-site four days a week, with a schedule that includes three days off, working 10-hour shifts during the overnight hours (11:30 PM to 9:30 AM). Initial training will be conducted during day shifts.

This position is integral to a dedicated 24/7 team responsible for the support and maintenance of our broadcast facility and operations. The specialist will address on-air and critical issues promptly as they arise.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Investigating issues within broadcast playout systems and their integration points to identify root causes of problems or systemic issues.
  2. Assisting in the deployment and testing of patches or fixes from vendors in both Development and Production environments until completion and satisfaction of the Operations team.
  3. Contributing to the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects, utilizing sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards and product requirements.
  4. Providing 24/7 On-Air systems support and daily operations assistance, with occasional overnight shift support required during on-air rollouts and special broadcast events.
  5. Participating in daily maintenance and operations review calls to update leadership and Operations on findings from new and ongoing issues, including potential fixes and planned deployments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting IT/Broadcast Systems.
  • Familiarity with master control automation systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based playout systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in a live broadcasting environment.
  • Understanding of end-to-end signal flow processes.
  • Experience with Dataminer, Evertz, Grass Valley, Selenio, and Harmonic Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of IP subnetting and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Relevant years of experience in the field.
